About the Editor

My name is Luisa, editor and creator of Cabo Rojo PR.com Thanks for visiting and I hope you found this site interesting and helpful. I was blessed to be born in the beautifulpueblo (town) of Cabo Rojo, PR. I have nothing but good and dear memories of my people and my time in my beloved Cabo Rojo.

At the age of 14 my parents decided to move to the United States for career related reasons, but not for the lack of love for Cabo Rojo. No matter how much time it passes I can't seem to stop missing my pueblo, my friends and family that I love so much. I never really appreciated the beauty that I got so accustomed to seeing every day during my time there.

Only when I visited Cabo Rojo after a year of moving to the United States did I realize just how much beauty I had around me and how much I loved my beautiful pueblo of Cabo Rojo.

Reasons for the creation of this website

I want to share the love I have for my hometown of Cabo Rojo with you and the rest of the world. You will find that Cabo Rojo has some of the best that Puerto Rico has to offer. Most of the people that I know and have visited Puerto Rico have only stayed and explored the San Juan and metro area and I often tell them they must come back to Puerto Rico and come to Cabo Rojo to find out why Cabo Rojo is called "The Capital of Tourism".
For the Caborrojeños that are away from home - I hope that visiting this site makes you feel a little closer to our pueblo.
To support my hometown. A portion of the funds and donations for this website will be used to build a fund in order to build a nice playground to my dear Escuela Carlota Matienzo in Monte Grande, Cabo Rojo and hopefully the rest of the elementary schools in the entire town.

Through this site I hope to support and help my community by making the world aware of the beauty and wonderful services that our residents provide.

This Site is Dedicated to very Special Caborrojeños

My dear father Isidro Cupeles - The man that I respect the most in life. He is a great example, a strong pillar in our family and he has thought me about the power of prayer and the power of kindness. My father was born in San Germàn, but was raised and spent most of his life in Cabo Rojo. He left to be with the Lord in January 2, 2008.

My dear First Grade Teacher Sra. Diana Toro - Sra. Toro was my first grade teacher who I still go visit every time I come back home to Cabo Rojo. She is by far the best teacher in my educational experience. She was not only a teacher but a friend, a mentor and a parent. She thought me the skills to become a leader, a good student and earned a special place in my heart.

Rev. Jose Lòpez Pabòn - a great man who is now with the Lord. He was my the pastor during my childhood at the Assembly of God in Cabo Rojo. He thought me The Word and to love the Lord and I will forever be grateful for his guidance. His work gave much fruit and will never be forgotten.

Ofelia Segarra - my dear "Tata" who gave me so much love and cared for me in such a loving way from childhood into adulthood. Tata I really missed you when I moved to PA and you will always be missed. Tata will always be a part of my loveliest memories in childhood.

My Madrina (God mother) Jenny Guido- a special lady who was my mother's best friend, who was always there in times of need and gave us unending support. Madrina was one of those people who made a lasting impression on everyone and touched everyone she came into contact with.

Papa Toy - one of the sweetest man I knew. A strong man who always put God first and shared His love with everyone that he knew. I will never forget all the love and kindness that you gave my family and I.
